Print media and public relations
In the context of statutory events, we may publish personal data and photos of the participants as part of our press and public relations work, for instance in print media, on the internet, or in social media. Inter alia, this may concern symposia, congresses, elections of the executive board. This may also concern lecturers, general assembly members, executive board members, and other officials who participate in other events. The publication of personal data is limited to the name, position, and event. The legal basis is Article 6, paragraph 1 S. 1 lit. Cookies

We will store the data that you inserted in our contact form until you instruct us to delete them, revoke your consent to the storage of data or the initial purpose of the data storage becomes obsolete. All mandatory statutory provisions – especially retention periods - remain unaffected by this.

Protection of your personal data in case of online donations
If you make an online donation, your donation is processed via secure and encrypted data transmission. In order to process your donation, we need your name and address as well as some mandatory details on bank/credit card debit. When you have inserted your data in the donation form and submitted this form to us, the data are transmitted to us via a secure SSL connection. You will then receive a notification once the donation amount has been debited from your account.
We use external service providers for processing incoming donations. These service providers have been contractually committed by the MWI to observe the legal provisions on data protection. They may only use personal data for the authorized purpose of the correct processing of your donation.

5. Newsletter Data

If you want to receive newsletters that we offer on our website, only your e-mail address is required for the subscription. You can then confirm the newsletter subscription via a registration link that we subsequently send you via e-mail. We will not collect any further data in this context. We will only use the collected data to send you the requested information and will not transmit the data to any third parties. We will process the data you have inserted in the newsletter subscription form according to your given consent (article 6, paragraph 1 lit. a DSGVO). You have the right to revoke your consent to the storage of data and your e-mail address and to the use for the dispatch of the newsletter at any time, for instance via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing before the revocation remains unaffected from such a revocation.
We will store the data you have provided to us in the context of your newsletter subscription until your unsubscription from the newsletter. Once you have unsubscribed from the newsletter, we will delete your data. All data that we have stored for other purposes (for instance e-mail addresses for the member section), remain unaffected by this.

There will be no transmission of data to third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without your express permission. We will only transmit your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by the law (as for instance by article 6 DSGVO) and/or legally required. We partially use external service providers for the statutory processing of data. OpenStreetMap
In the “Category” section, you will find a dynamic map provided by “OpenStreetMap” (https://www.openstreetmap.de) that is offered by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) based on the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL).

OpenStreetMap only uses the user data for the purposes of providing the map functions and for the intermediate storage of chosen settings. Facebook
On our website, there is the option to load Facebook content via interfaces. The provider is Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. Our website uses plugins of the website www.youtube.com. The owner of the website is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. The YouTube server will get information as to which of our web pages you have visited.
